Other Important Notes
Thank
you
to all parents for visiting our classroom during our “Open House”.
The
Environmental Club
is collecting gently used gym shoes for their “Show Your Heart and
Sole for Recycling” drive for February. Through the month of
February we will collect gently worn gym shoes for Nike’s
Reuse-A-Shoe Program. Shoes that are in good condition are donated
to local charities and the rest are recycled by Nike to make new
products.
March Theme - ‘March Madness for
Recycling Basketballs’
The Recycling Committee will be
collecting old basketballs, soccer balls and volleyballs. These
balls are deflated and shipped by an organization, called Rebound
Sports, that distributes these balls to children in remote places in
Africa, Mexico, Central America and South America. Children in some
of these remote areas have very little to play with.
Please continue to collect and
send in pop can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.

We
received over 53 classroom orders and decorated our pig for “The
Great Pig Race”. Our pig, “H1N1”, won the “Hogwild” trophy.
Thank you for your support of this fundraiser.
ENJOY A WONDERFUL VALENTINE’S DAY WITH THOSE YOU LOVE!
